Yamaha designed the TR-14A4a Trumpet Mouthpiece specifically for lead trumpet and piccolo trumpet players. The mouthpiece features a shallow cup, so it’s easier to hit the high notes in your solos. Beyond the effortlessly playable cup depth, the TR-14A4a has a 16.68mm inner cup diameter. With its medium-flat rim shape, the expanded rim diameter allows a player to create an immensely powerful sound with relative ease. When we demoed the TR-14A4a at Sweetwater, we noticed that the narrow backbore produced a brilliant tone with a super-comfortable resistance.
