Vintage Munsell Rock-Color Chart Geol. Soc. of America 1951

Description

Rock-Color Chart based on the Munsell system. The color chips are attached to heavy paper and were prepared by the Rock-Color Chart Committee and distributed by the Geological Society of America.  This is the second printing of this chart in 1951.  The instructions suggest that rocks of value and chroma that are between the color chips can be estimated.
The cardboard sheets show some yellowing with age and are attached with masking tape at the top (which have been original). Some of the chips show some white bloom? on the surface (see the grays on the left edge of the last chip photo). This was my father's who used it in graduate school at Cornell in the early 50's.
