POPULAR ITEM WHEN I CAN FIND ONE!!
This is USGS Professional Paper 926-A,
Geology and Resources of Base-Metal Vanadate Deposits
. Published in 1975, this scarce 14-page report details the occurrence vanadium associated with base metal deposits in the US and a round the world. It contains regional maps of locations that correspond to the numbered localities in the text.
This would be a great reference for the collector of vanadium minerals. Although it is a short report, it is packed with information on the origin of these often colorful minerals. There are clusters of occurrences in the SW US, as well as six occurrences along the east coast, all given by name. For every location, there is at least one literature reference provided. See the photos for a better idea. The east coat localities are in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. There is one in Michigan as well! I've never seen such a list before with so many locations:
    US:
    84 locations!
N and S America exclusive of the US:
    28
    locations!
    Eurasia, Africa, and Australia:
    44
    locations!
That's over 150 locations, all referenced! Don't miss this one!
