    This is USGS Professional Paper 313-A,
    “The Phosphoria, Park City, and Shedhorn Formations in the Western Phosphate Field.”
    Published in 1959, this is a scarce report on this geologically interesting region. This 47-page book comes complete with all three sheets in a pocket in the back of the book. It discusses this important formation that is widespread around the northern Rockies states. The Phosphoria is noteworthy for numerous mineral deposits, and as the source of Turritella stone, which is that agate-like rock that has tons of snail fossils in it.
    This report studies regional variation in the formation and makes new observations about its nature and origin.
    It report provides a unique geologic perspective on this formation that few other reports do.
