    3This is USGS Professional paper 798-A ,
Geochemistry and Potassium-Argon Ages of Plutonic Rocks in the Battle Mountain Mining District, Lander County, Nevada.
This 24-page book details a study of the plutonic rocks in this still-active mining district. This area is not far from where I live and is still being mined today. There are a variety of igneous rocks of varying ages from Cretaceous to Eocene, and the ages and geochemistry are studied to relate the intrusions to the copper-gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralization of the area. It is an interesting report on a district that has been almost continuously mined for over a hundred years, and a helpful reference on the district and some of the mines there.
These reports on active mining districts are some of the harder ones to obtain.
