This is USGS Bulletin 1182-E,
Investigations of Molybdenum Deposits in the Conterminous United States, 1942-1960
. Published in 1965, there can’t be many of these around. It consists of the 90-page book and all seven of the original maps in a pocket in the back of the book. One of them is a full color map. This is a great reference on the country’s molybdenum resources and makes for interesting reading. The states covered in the text are below. Many have multiple locales discussed:
Arizona
California
Colorado
Idaho
Maine
Montana
Nevada
New Mexico
North Carolina
Washington
Wisconsin
Together the text and the maps make quite a stack, about a half in thick. And the maps are awesome! This is an interesting book on some little-known deposits, and with high molybdenum prices there is sure to be increased attention on these areas. There are so many small mines described here it would be hard to list them all! This is a scarce item, I think, because this is the first one I have handled in over eight years.
