    Description

    FEW LEFT!!
    This is USGS Bulletin 1042-A,
“Geology of the Johnson Creek Quadrangle, Caribou County, Idaho.”
Published in 1956, this is a scarce report on this geologically interesting area. This 21-page book comes complete with
    the ORIGINAL FULL COLOR MAP
and a strat diagram, all in a pocket in the back of the book.
This area is home to a variety of folded and faulted sedimentary rocks that are well displayed on the large 7.5 minute geologic quadrangle map. The Phosphoria formation, well known for large phosphate deposits, has some of its thickest phosphate horizons within this area. Considerable trenching and mining have been done here as a result. This would make a great guide to this area for any mineral collector, hiker or anyone else, and the map would even look great framed and placed in a home or business. Kind of a scarce item, I just don't run across these often.
I will continue to add new items to my store, so check back periodically.
