Description
COOL STUDY USING SEVERAL METHODS!! CLASSIC GEOCHEM REPORT!!This is USGS Bulletin 1312C,
A Geochemical Study of Alluvium-Covered Copper Deposits, Pima County, Arizona
. Published in 1970, there can’t be many of these around anymore. This publication consists of the 31-page book and all five original maps, all in excellent condition. The maps show copper and molybdenum in various settings in the same area.
This report took a look at surface indicators like soils, alluvial gravels, ground water and even metals within plants to try to identify locations of copper deposits at depth. Some of the techniques they tried seemed to hold some promise for identifying covered copper-molybdenum deposits. Its a pretty cools study, mostly because you hardly ever get a nice, tight study using multiple techniques on the same area. So if you are looking to learn about geochemical methods, or just want some more background on deposits in the area, this would be a great item for you.
As always, please read the condition notes.
