This Robert Tucci RT-44 tuba mouthpiece has a very small scratch inside of the cup close to the throat.  It is a very minor issue that is not close to an area where the lips make contact.
The RT-44 provides great projection for larger tubas.  With the same inner rim diameter as the RT-48 and RT-50, the 44 uses a shallower cup that emphasizes brilliance and more color.  The slightly larger bore compensates for the shallower cup.  The fast response and flexibility of the RT-44 makes it ideal for BBb and CC tubas.
