    RARE OLD REPORT!!  NICE HARD COVER!!

    The is the text that accompanied the
    Geologic Map of the
    Rochester
    and Ontario Beach Quadrangles
    of western New York
    .
    This 40-page hard cover book was published in 1907.
    These were originally issued with soft covers, but this was nicely rebound to hard covers, still preserving the original covers within.
    This is the text that accompanied the map of this area. Unfortunately I do not have the original map, but this text provides interesting details on the geology, formations, and especially some of the fossils and minerals from this area. There is mention of some specific locales with exemplary fossils, and even a location where nice examples of dolomite, fluorite, galena, calcite, and gypsum were found at an excavation for a school!
    It's a shame the map is missing, but then it would be a lot more money of it were along. It's still a
    great book for the New York mineral or fossil enthusiast. local resident, or historian. You'll probably not see this on Ebay again any time soon! Nice to find it in hard covers.
