    Description

Amati-Kraslice has produced a number of mouthpiece designed over their history.  When the major Graslitz/Kraslice instrument makers consolidated after World War II in 1945, they continued production of pre-war designs effectively as before [to the best of their ability].  After the Communist takeover and nationalization in 1948, this production continued, but Czechoslovakia began re-industrializing along Soviet lines.  Amati-Kraslice eventually was retooled and their product lines revamped; by the 1960s, they began producing copies of Vincent Bach mouthpiece designs alongside proprietary designations.  The design consistency varied, and this 1990s 7C [in the "Maestro" series, as per period catalogs] is an interesting example.
It was briefly demoed and has some minor quirks.  The plating is great, with the biggest issue being the slightly uneven shank opening, and it's slightly out-of-round.  The rim is a bit wider and flatter than the equivalent Bach designs/copies.  The rim bite isn't particularly soft, but it's decent and ready to play!
