    Description

    ONLY ONE AVAILABLE!
This is Illinois Geological Survey Extract from Bulletin 43,
Geology and Mineral Resources of the LaHarpe and Good Hope Quadrangles
    .
Published in 1921, this 89-page book details the geology of this interesting region in western Illinois. Rocks range in age from Cambrian to Holocene and include many types. This comes with a nice color geologic map in the back pocket, as well as photos and illustrations in the text that really bring the geology to life. There is aeven a whole section of multiple pages discussing the geologic history of the region, so you can understand it as a story rather than simply a bunch of rock units described. Pretty cool! Of coarse there is focus on the coal beds as well, but
    sphalerite
is also know from outcrops along a creek that is discussed.
Overall a good example of a scarce old report. The map has great, vintage coloring and would look nice framed. You’ll wait a long time before you see another of these on eBay!
